What Could Be Cracking Sound On Foot After A Fall?

I missed a step walking down the stairs and I heard a cracking sound from my foot as I hit the floor. I can not walk very good now and I was wondering Is this a fracture, broken, or sprained ankle. Also how long will it take to heel I'm a dancer so it's really important that it gets better soon

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to musculo-skeletal injury.
X ray of the foot & ankle joint can be done to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms.

Symptomatic relief can be obtained by application of ice, analgesic & muscle relaxant gel, intake of analgesics like Diclofenac (to be taken after food) + Pantoprazole (to be taken 30 minutes before meals).
You can include supplements of Calcium & Vitamin D in your diet which will help in strengthening of bones.
Physiotherapy exercise will also be helpful.

There is no need to worry, you will be fine.
Till then, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status, take proper rest and avoid stress.
Wishing you a Good Health.
Take care.
