What Could Be The Cause Of Increased Pus Cells In 7 Month Old?

My 7 m old baby has puss cells 14-16. He has no fever and has been passing 10-12 loose motion (quantity is very less) past few days. He is otherwise a happy child , taking proper diet. Initially we thought its due to his tooth , but the number increased in a day.
His lower area is absolutely red, and has lot of rash, due to the diaper and the frequent passing of stool.
Please suggest .

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.

It seems your kid is having acute watery diarrhea. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.

Unless there is blood in the motion there is no need for antibiotics or cultures. Antibiotics might worsen if unnecessarily used causing antibiotic associated diarrhoea. I suggest you use zinc supplements & ORS. For vomiting you can use Syrup Ondansetron 0.15mg/kg/dose thrice a day, 30minutes before feeds.

For rash you can use Siloderm ointment over the red area.
