What Does Hypo-gastric Pain In Females Suggest?

I am having hyposgastric pain which when palpated radiates up to the periumbilical and epigastric region. Also when I am defacating I feel a pricking pain on genito-anal region. I am a female btw. What is the most likely cause of these symptoms? Thank you.

Hi,

Hypogastric pain is usually related to Urinary bladder. Hypogastric pain with pricking pain on the genito-anal region can be associated with sigmoid colonic involvement (diverticulitis, inflammatory bowel disease e.g. ulcerative colitis etc). Go for Urine routine analysis since you are female by the way. If negative-go for USG (Ultrasonography) abdomen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
