What Is The Best Post Surgical Diet To Lessen The Pain Associated With Hemorroidectomy ?
I am a 69 year-old female in good health (yoga,walking, vegetarian, etc) who wil be undergoing a hemorroidectomy and want to know the best post-surgical diet to lessen the pain level associated with this procedure. I'm getting conflicting recommendations on the 'net.

Post-surgery, your doctor will advice you to start with liquid diet followed by soft mild diet. In few days, you can go back to your regular diet and increase fiber intake. Discuss freely with your surgeon & anesthetist about all your concerns including pain control before going for surgery.
