Can Diet Changes Cause Irritation And Abdominal Discomfort?
I had been suffering from constipation and abdominal bloating since the past one month. I had a colonoscopy which revealed some granularity in terminal ileum (ileitis), but after the biopsy report the doctor said it was a non specific finding and that no serious problem existed. He gave some medicines like tegaserod maleate, gemifloxacin(10 days), aristozyme , rabium –d sr, and softovac for one month…there was a considerable improvement in symptoms for about 10 days…but I am suffering from irritation and abdominal discomfort since three days which has affected my lifestyle….is this condition related to diet changes …because I had taken butter for breakfast after which the symptoms returned…
Yes more fatty food and oily food may cause abdominal cramps and irritation. You have ileum inflammation so continue that drugs.
Avoid fatty foods like butter, dairy products, ghee, junk foods, non veg.....etc. Avoid alcohol drinking and smoking also. More fatty food consuption may cause irritation to your ileum.Drink more water. Eat fresh fruits and green vegetables. Avoid stressful condition also.
After taking this much care still symptoms are present than you have to consent a gastroenterologist for further treatment.
I hope my guidance is helpful to you. Take care. Thanks.
