Changes in You
  • During the remainder of your pregnancy the height of the uterus will grow by approximately half an inch per week.Difficulty in getting sleep? Well, don't worry! It is a common problem at this stage. Try sleeping on your left side. Changes in Your Baby
  • Your baby is around 28cm long and weighs close to 900 Gms and would have undergone a growth spurt in the past few weeks. From weeks twenty to twenty eight, he/ she almost doubles in height. Look out for this week for it marks a major milestone in baby's hearing and sight!!It is also said that if you throw some light near the abdomen the baby will turn its head indicating the working of the optic nerve. Your baby isn't fond of the lights, beware!!!Also a baby's eyes don't get their final color until a few months after they are born. Alveoli in the lungs will be developed by the end of this week.

  • Get to the Doctor according to the antenatal schedules. You might want to purchase a life insurance around this time. If you have a medical insurance, update it to accommodate your new baby. Make sure your coverage is adequate.Warning signs should be immediately rushed to the nearest hospital. Warning signs for you during this period are blurring of vision, abnormal weight gain and increase in blood pressure. Vaginal bleeding is one important thing which can be painless also. So immediately see a Doctor with these signs. Vaginal discharge can be due to thrush or due to diabetes. High risk Pregnancy in second and third trimesters.Your feet will ache. Soothe sore feet by immersing them in a basin filled with warm water. Add a few drops of scented oil if you wish and relax. Foot care is important
